That laptop thing was so cool, such a shame it is paired with one of the worst performing CPUs.

Yeah. Even my top of the line Atom 2.0Ghz is slow. I guess they can't fit any better CPU.

that would kill my eyeballs

Your running it in HDPI mode right? Because in native resolution it would be almost impossible to see a thing.

Co worker has a similar sony. Incredibly well built, amazing screen, unbelievably slow performance bits.

The Atom was cheap, one of the biggest reasons for its slow performance was it's lack of out of order execution, essentially it had to finish a train of thought before it finished. making multitasking a chore for the little guy.
Later chips got multiple cores and were better performers.

Oh hell yes. What are the specs of that model?

Yeah, but sometimes i let it on native. Because HD 11".

Yeah, but sometimes i think Sony fit the Atom in the P because it's waaaaaaaaaaaay too small to fit anything faster. Plus this laptop is fanless as well.

Yeah. Form over Fuction FTW!

i mean the Atom was the first 15 watt TDP chip capable of solid X86 operation, now there are a bunch, the AMD bobcat and then into jaguar are great little chips. (essentially whats in the XBONE and PS4, but with 8 cores) The new multicore atoms are good for light work. but the low voltage i5's and i7's are pretty great these days.

Mine has 1.33ghz Atom CPU, Intel graphics, 2 GB RAM, 64 GB SSD, GPS, Built-in HSDPA Modem, and of course the 8" 1600x768 screen.

Those specs are very similar to my ASUS T91MT. I bought a 2 GB RAM stick for it.

Ah, too bad my VAIO's RAM is soldered to the motherboard, so i can't upgrade.
